🎯 Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Online Proofreader to ensure the accuracy and quality of written content across our business materials, reports, and digital communications. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong grammar and language skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit documents, reports, and marketing materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all company communications
- Review digital content, including websites, presentations, and newsletters
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and project managers to meet deadlines
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve overall readability and accuracy
- Maintain version control and organized records of edited content
- Conduct fact-checking and verify references when necessary
✅ Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a proofreader, editor, or in a related writing/editing role (2+ years preferred)
- Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly
- Familiarity with style guides (APA, Chicago, MLA, or company-specific)
- Proficiency with editing and collaboration tools (Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Grammarly, or similar)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to meet tight deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field a plus)
- Stable internet connection and professional remote work setup
